City of Mountain Home – Community Development Dept.

On March 23, 2021 the Mountain Home Urban Renewal Agency selected Elmore Development LLC’s proposal to invest over $2 million into the downtown Bealls Building (located at 295 N. 2nd. E.) to open the community’s first-ever trade school – the Mountain Home Adult Training Academy. The next step for the URA is to begin to complete an ERN agreement (Agreement to Negotiate Exclusively) with Elmore Development LLC.

The campus will occupy approximately 15,000 sq. feet of the building. The remainder of the building will be for commercial retail pads. The trade school will be owned and operated by Porter House, Inc., based out of southeastern Idaho. The school will provide coursework and certifications for electricians, plumbers, carpenters, construction laborers, HVAC technicians, millwrights, ironworkers, and more.
