Air Force Appreciation Day (AFAD) is the largest event hosted in Elmore County, annually. Festivities kick off Friday evening and run throughout the day Saturday including a military fly-over and parade that stretches from Downtown Mountain Home to Carl Miller Park. The park is filled with entertainment, vendors, and a community BBQ all to say “THANK YOU” to the local airmen and their families.

Crazee Dayz is an annual event hosted by the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the event is to promote and encourage economic vitality for Mountain Home and our downtown businesses. 

The event is promoted throughout the State and attracts thousands of consumers throughout the day. The program includes vendors, food truck rally, entertainment, children’s activities and a carshow.

Beer connoisseurs can channel their enthusiasm for a frosty brew on a hot summer day! 

Patrons will enjoy sunshine, music, food, and of course, a wide variety of Idaho-born craft brews.  All patrons can get a head start by purchasing beer mugs and tokens from the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce at 205 N. 3rd St. E. a month prior to the event.

 All proceeds from the festival will go towards the Light the Forest Christmas display.

Location: Downtown Mountain Home

After a heated summer, Mountain Home likes to bring in the golden season with a Fall Harvest Festival to the Downtown Area.  With all things fall, the Chamber of Commerce will have kid-friendly activities, music, and streets filled with crafters to keep the mood just right. 

The Chamber of Commerce also hosts several competitions throughout the day, including Cornhole, Pie Eating and a Chili Cook-off.

The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce’s annual Golf Tournament is the main fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce throughout the year. This full-day event is designed to allow our members and supporters to network with each other while allowing all skill levels to appreciate what the Desert Canyon Golf Course has to offer.

The day consists of a shotgun start, dinner provided by Kurly’s on the Green, and a silent/live auction.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce will not be hosting a traditional Installation Banquet. Instead, the Board of Directors will be bringing dinner to your doorstep. We have partnered with local restaurants to provide amazing dinner options, including the entree, dessert, and a beverage. The dinner will cost $30 per person, and delivered on February 6th at approximately 6:00pm.

The Chamber will showcase a video of the installation of officers and messages from community leaders. The video will be available on February 6th.

Fundraising raffle tickets are also available for purchase. Tickets cost $20 per ticket or $100 for 6 tickets.

The Chamber of Commerce and City of Mountain Home coordinates the Light the Forest event. This event typically consists of a night of parades, family activities, and a tree lighting ceremony. 

This year, the event has been shifted to a more open setting in Railroad Park and our downtown core. We encourage you to bring your family and friends downtown and celebrate the holiday season with a variety of shopping and dining options.

The Military Affairs Committee hosts two fundraisers, annually. 

Trivia Night

Trivia Night was first held in 2016, and has since grown into one of MACs most successful fundraisers. Trivia Night  is held annually in the Spring with teams of 6 set up for pub style trivia.  The night is filled with Trivia, auctions, games, and socializing with great members of our community.   All proceeds support the MAC mission. 

Bowling Tournament

Location: Strikers, Mountain Home Air Force Base

The MAC annual bowling fundraiser is held every winter at Strikers, located on Mountain Home Air Force Base.  Our bowling fundraiser is a 9 pin no-tap tournament.  The evening is filled with lots of bowling, delicious food from Strikers grill, and socializing with members of the base and our local community.  This event is one of the biggest income generators to insure that MAC can continue with our mission.  

Spearheaded by Pioneer Federal Credit Union, the Chamber of Commerce serves as an application pick-up and drop-off location.

These coordinated efforts focus on helping elderly and disabled homeowners with yard cleanup.

Shop Small Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses and communities across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, this day is celebrated each year on the Saturday after thanksgiving.

The Chamber of Commerce partners with businesses by coordinating goodie bags, special deals and contests that encourage spending dollars locally.
