The Travel and Tourism committee promotes regional tourism and manages the Desert Mountain Visitors Center. The committee creates promotional pieces and partners with the surrounding areas to leverage assets and increase overnight stays.

2026 Goals: 

• Moving forward with development of a marketing plan to help support local events and community engagement
• Enhancing outdoor recreation and to promote cultural and historical tourism with the help of statewide tourism initiatives.

Past Accomplishments:

• Continued support of the Desert Mountain Visitor Center

• Our major project that was completed is our VisitElmoreCountyIdaho.com website, completed in partnership with Elmore County Rural Economic Development.
