The Friends of the Mountain Home Public Library will be having a Book Sale on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at the Mountain Home Public Library (790 N. 10th E.). Sale hours will be 11 am to 6 pm Friday. They have around 25 boxes of donated books many of them are Young Adult books. Book prices will be $1 for hardbacks, 50 cents for paperbacks, and 25 cents for children’s books. The books for sale include those inside the Commons area of the Library, on the dark wood shelves that line
the edges of the Library and a payment box will be centrally located on the shelves in front of the patio windows.
The Friends of the Mountain Home Public Library was founded in 2007 by individuals to enhance the Mountain Home Public Library. They are a volunteer organization that focuses on generating funds to enhance the Library’s activities. Since their inception, the Friends of the Library has raised nearly $50,000 in supplemental funding for Library programs. Programs include: Adult Reading Program, Summer Reading Program, Read Across America, the Teen Reading Program, the American Girl Tea Party, the Dangerous Day for Boys, Interactive MovieNight, Cyberpunk Murder Mystery, and Storytime with Santa.
