MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (July 9, 2017) – Beer connoisseurs can channel their enthusiasm for a frosty brew on a hot summer day toward creating a winter wonderland in Mountain Home during the upcoming holiday season simply by attending the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Endless Summer Festival of Beer Aug. 19 at Carl Miller Park.
All proceeds from the festival will go toward the Chamber’s annual Light the Forest Christmas display in Carl Miller Park. Last year, area businesses partnered to light 48 trees in the park for the holidays. This year, they hope to add a dozen more, said Paula Szafranski, Chamber Vice President.
“We’re trying to make it bigger and better every year for our residents,” said Szafranski. “The Festival of Beers will help us do that and provide everyone with another fun, family-friendly event at the same time.”
Patrons will enjoy sunshine, music, food, and of course, a wide variety of Idaho-born craft brews. The City of Mountain Home Parks and Recreation Department will be on hand with foam machines, water activities, free games for kids, and a movie in the park.
All patrons can get a head start by purchasing beer mugs, tokens and t-shirts from the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce at 205 N. 3rd St. E. now through the day of the event.
The Chamber of Commerce is still seeking volunteers to help make this a successful venue that can continue annually for years to come. To volunteer, go to www.signupgenius.com and follow these steps:
